Rise up, Monster Hunter fans! Sonic Frontiers will be receiving free Monster Hunter-themed DLC. This collaboration between SEGA and Capcom was announced on October 10th on the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter and was met with an overwhelmingly positive reception. Art was also produced by SEGA and Capcom’s artists to mark the occasion.

The free DLC will feature two costumes that are modeled after the Ratholos armor. This is similar to another collaboration between Sonic and Monster Hunter for Monster Hunter Rise which allowed the player to dress up as the blue blur. It also features an item called the BBQ Spit, which will give players access to a grilling mini-game. This will allow Sonic to cook meat to acquire a special power-up, similar to the gameplay in Monster Hunter, where cooking steaks boosts the character’s stamina. However, the specific power-up for Sonic has not been revealed at this time.
