In a post on X, DiscussingFilm showed a clip from the upcoming The Walking Dead spin-off The Ones Who Live. The show will focus on Rick and Michonne and will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in February of 2024. The show was officially announced back in 2022 with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira returning as Rick and Michonne after they had both starred in the flagship series for so long.

The series is said to be described as an epic love story. In the official description, it states “Rich and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead and ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive-or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”

Scott M. Gimple who serves as the chief content officer of The Walking Dead universe, will be the showrunner and executive producer on the series. Lincoln and Gurria will also serve as executive producers.
