Kevin Afghani Expressed His Gratitude For Voicing Luigi And Mario For ' Super Mario Bros. Wonder'
The new voice of Mario and Luigi has been revealed to be Kevin Afghani. Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be the first Mario game to not feature Charles Martinet as the brother duo since stepping down from the role and into the role of Mario ambassador.
Though there was some speculation as to who the new voice was, especially since the voice cast was leaked, Kevin Afghani stepped up to not only confirm that he is Martinet’s successor but also to express his gratitude for the opportunity to voice these legendary characters:

Before voicing Mario and Luigi, Afghani was best known for voicing Arnold in Genshin Impact. However, he also has an interesting Nintendo connection, as he also provided voice-over for the Nintendo Switch commercials. Several fans are already in love with Afghani’s take, calling him a worthy successor to Charles Martinet. Fellow voice-over talent Edward Saba especially praised his take on the younger Mario brother, Luigi:
Kevin Afghani has already been welcomed into the Mario family in a less controversial manner than the case of Chris Pratt voicing Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Some have expressed their surprise that it was not a bigger name, but others pointed out that this was the case with Martinet as well before voicing Mario. Others are even more surprised at his young age, but regardless, most see him as a worthy successor to Martiner. Super Mario Bros. Wonder jumps onto the Nintendo Switch on October 22nd!
