Fans of the multiverse rejoice on this Merry Season as a new trailer for Season 2 of What If…? just dropped, filled with emotions and action. After a masterful season 1, the animated project is back with some new stories exploring the infinite possibilities that the Marvel cast could be part of. From a Thanos-like Nebula, and different Avengers assembly to what may be an episode with that Spy Kids 3 race vibe, this new season is completely packed with surprises.
Certain iconic characters from the first season will return, such as Strange Supreme, which leads us to believe there will be connections between the stories from both seasons. What made the show memorable in the first place was the creative freedom and experimentation the artist took with every single episode. The writing, the animation, and the effects felt dedicated and passionate; something which frankly other recent Marvel projects lacked.
