The Newest Trailer For ‘Sonic Prime’ Is Here, Alongside More Great News For Fans

A new trailer for the upcoming Sonic Prime has just dropped on the Geeked Toon In-stream. Alongside this, we have confirmation of the release date and who will be voicing who in the series. Topping it all off, new posters have shown how the characters will look in the series. Let’s break it down!

Firstly, though it had been rumored for a little while, Sonic Prime now has a solidified release date of December 15th. In addition, new renders have been revealed for the characters. These posters also confirm that Rouge, Knuckles, Amy, and Tails will be featured in the series. Though most of the characters are mostly faithful to their modern game designs, Rouge is a significant shift from her design within the games, sporting a more conservative look compared to how she has been displayed in the past.

Secondly, though the voice actors in this show were revealed, only Deven Mack’s role as Sonic had been confirmed. Now, the entire cast and who they are playing have been established. Deven Mack (known for Wynton Styles in Bakugan: Battle Planets) is voicing Sonic, Ashleigh Ball (known for Applejack in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) is voicing Miles “Tails” Prower, Adam Nurada (known for Shingen in Dragalia Lost) is voicing Knuckles the Echidna, Shannon Chan-Kent (known for Pinkie Pie in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) is Amy Rose, Brian Drummond (known for voicing Vegeta in the Ocean Dub of Dragon Ball Z) is voicing Dr. Eggman, Kazumi Evans (known for Iris in LoliRock) is Rouge the Bat, and Ian Hanlin (known for Sunburst in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) is voicing Big the Cat and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Lastly, a new trailer was released as part of Netflix’s Geeked Toon In-stream. The trailer featured a glimpse at what appears to be the first episode. Sonic, alongside his friends, is seen fighting Dr. Eggman. However, after Sonic collides with the Paradox Prism, he is sent flying back as the universe shatters, separating him from his friends. Then, sonic is sent into an alternate universe where it appears Dr. Eggman has taken over, and he encounters alternate versions of his friends in addition to sporting new shoes. Now, he is fighting alongside these versions of his friends to free this new world.
