In a world where animated properties are constantly being remade into live-action, shot-for-shot remakes, and toy brands are having huge success when hitting the big screen, He-Man might finally be getting his Hollywood. The 80’s cartoon and toy brand has been the subject of several unsuccessful pushes towards the big screen and might finally be getting the green light.

Nee brothers Adam and Aaron might be creating a film based on the popular muscular skeleton-slaying barbarian, and are currently in serious talks with Amazon about taking the hero to the streaming platform. The two took a jab at a $30 million film that would have been ready for Netflix, which was dropped due to not being able to reduce the budget, as the original budget ballooned well beyond the intended amount, growing to $200 million. Kyle Allen, who was ready to star in the Netflix version, is also involved in the talks with Amazon.

The film, currently being referred to simply as Masters of The Universe, does not have a set date for the beginning of production, and is still not officially confirmed to be green-lit.
