Hollywood producer Kevin Turen died suddenly on November 12, 2023, at the age of only 44. His cause of death is not yet known. Born in New York in 1979, Turen graduated from Columbia University with a degree in English and Critical Film Studies. He landed a plum position at First Look Studios and went on to become President of Production.

In 2018, Turen founded Little Lamb Productions (Malcolm and Marie, The Idol), the studio that created the hit television show Euphoria. Under his creative guidance, Euphoria received 25 Prime Time Emmys and a Golden Globe. Kevin Turen also became an integral part of horror studio The Phantom Four, where he worked on the movie Assassination Nation. Kevin Turen loved the classics; the X franchise (X and the follow-up, MaXXXine) was his homage to the slasher flicks of the 70s and 80s.

There are rumors that Kevin Turen had joined DC to work on the Green Lantern Corp project. The John Stewart feature is currently without a release date, and it's likely that such a major loss will not help matters.

Turen is survived by his wife, Eveline, and his two sons, Jack and James. In a statement released by the family, his father Edward said: “Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him.”
