'The Mandalorian' Season Three Finale Ratings Surpassed That Of Season Two
According to Samba TV’s numbers, The Mandalorian season three finale proved more popular than the second, with 1.4 million US households watching across a five-day period from its release.
In comparison, the season two finale was watched by 1.1 million US households in the same period. These numbers seem surprising, not least because this third season had seemed less popular among general audiences, with plenty reporting a drop in viewers when the third season started compared to the season two premiere. Part of that likely has to do with fans questioning what the focal point of the series is now that it has expanded beyond just Din Djarin and Grogu’s adventures.

An important factor to note is that Samba TV’s numbers are a sample size, only monitoring views from smart TVs. While such focus discounts those watching via other means, it is worth noting that smart TVs continue to rise in popularity in the US, with a reported 77% of households owning at least one. Of those with smart TVs, 88% are known to stream content regularly via their built-in capability.
The Mandalorian season three saw Din Djarin redeem himself in the eyes of the Children of the Watch by bathing in the waters of the mines of Mandalore. With Bo-Katan by his side, that visit proved to be the catalyst that would bring the scattered Mandalorian people together to fight to reclaim their home. All seasons of The Mandalorian can be streamed on Disney+.
