The Critical Role-based animated series, The Legend of Vox Machina (2022-Present), is nearing the conclusion of its third season on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming service has announced that the series has been renewed for a fourth season.  The cast and crew were brought together by Prime Video to share the series renewal announcement, who were all overjoyed to share the news with fans.

The series features a group of medieval misfit mercenaries from the kingdom of Exandria who would rather drink ale and earn easy money than protect the realm. However, they ultimately rally around their kingdom when evil threatens it to restore justice. In addition to the regular cast, the show has boasted some major guest star power, including Janet Varney (The Legend of Korra), LeVar Burton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Rory McCann (Game of Thrones), Henry Winkler (Happy Days), Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings).

The series is based on Campaign One of Critical Role (2015-2017), which started as a home game of Dungeons & Dragons. With major organizations cautious of investing in the project, the cast formed a Kickstarter to animate a single half-hour episode. 88,887 backers ultimately pledged a total of $11,385,449 to back the project.
