Shaken, stirred, it doesn’t matter; there’s going to be some people excited by this news. All 25 canon James Bond films will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting October 5 to celebrate the franchise’s 60th anniversary, which began with the release of Dr. No on that date in 1962.

In the United States, this means 22 films will be joining 1995’s GoldenEye, 2012’s Skyfall, and last year’s No Time to Die, which are already present as of writing. And these arrivals aren’t just for Americans either. The U.K., Australia, India, Italy, Japan, Southeast Asia, Spain, Mexico, and Latin America sans Brazil will also be getting the films on their local Prime Video services. In addition, the Sound of 007, a documentary celebrating the film’s music, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide on the same day.

This probably doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, seeming to be more an inevitability following Amazon’s purchase of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in March, but this isn’t a permanent homecoming; it’s for just a limited time. Personally, it sounds very “more than a month, maybe to the end of the year.” Daniel Craig’s first three outings, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and the aforementioned Skyfall, are all on Netflix. Spectre is streaming on FXNow, and its presence on Hulu may be through that.

The titles present on Netflix have no imminent expiry date, so they’re probably going to coexist for at least a month. While even the whole year until the next anniversary doesn’t feel all that limited, it’d still be less permanent than library titles on Disney+, so it would still work as a “limited time” thing. For seasoned fans or someone who’s not been all that into Bond but waited for an opportunity like this to try, it’s very exciting.
