Netflix Announces Plans To Develop An In-House Video Game Studio
Netflix is taking yet another step in its evolution as a media empire. Since it first began as a DVD rental company, Netflix has conquered movies and cable television, launched the streaming service race, and now will establish its own video game studio. In sharing their vision for the gaming company, Netflix Vice-President of Game Studios, Amir Rahimi, stated the goal of the company is to produce ad-free, original games that do not require in-app purchases.

Independent industry analyst Eric Seufert believes this will greatly serve the company by bringing more people into the Netflix fold.
