Amid movies and television shows being canceled or put on hiatus, there will still be abundant films and television to consume and fall in love with. Amid these new releases comes a rise in independent projects. One such independent project is Hal & Harper, a new television series from Cha Cha Real Smooth filmmaker and star Cooper Raiff, according to Deadline. Out of the actors who have been cast, perhaps two of the most well-known names connected to Hal & Harper are Mark Ruffalo (famous for his role as The Hulk in the Marvel saga) and Lili Reinhart (best known as Betty Cooper from Riverdale).

The new show is revealed to be written and directed by Raiff, which landed a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement. While little is known about the finer details of the new series, Reinhart and Ruffalo are going to be playing the titular characters and siblings in this “comedic family drama”. Hal & Harper, once a passion project of Raiff, will now be produced alongside Raiff’s producing partner Clementine Quittner through their own company Small Ideas. No matter what, the series has serious promise.

Given Cooper Raiff’s successes with Cha Cha Real Smooth and Shithouse, Mark Ruffalo’s three Oscars and two Emmys, and Lili Reinhart’s experience as Betty Cooper, Hal & Harper has the potential to become another success for Raiff. A release date is yet to be announced. Luckily, an audience will be excited to see Reinhart and Ruffalo act off of each other as brother and sister.
