One of the most beloved video game trilogies in all of gaming is the Batman Arkham series. Consisting of Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, the games completely redefined Batman for modern audiences. It removed a lot of campy elements from Batman and his rogue’s gallery and made them feel almost realistic. Its free-flow, rhythm-based combat system and stealth systems revolutionized gaming, and you can see its fingerprints in games such as the Shadow of Mordor games. Asylum and City are considered two of the best video games of all time, and Knight, while it has its detractors, was still a very well-done game. Now, even more people can play it.

It was announced back in June that the main Batman trilogy plus DLC would be coming to Nintendo Switch. Now the official release date of October 13th has been announced. It is unknown what the exact price of the bundle will be, though expect it to be in the eighty-dollar range if you’re hoping to play it right now. We as gamers can only hope that the games run smoothly and aren’t a buggy mess like several other ports. It will be interesting to see how a game that detailed with worlds as large as the Arkham games will work with Switch. Hopefully, there isn’t too much of an issue with players missing things because the screen they’re playing on is much smaller than a PC or console.

Regardless of how it all turns out, Nintendo is bringing the Caped Crusader into its library.
