The Full Trailer For 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire' Has Been Released
With its release date just over a month away, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire released a trailer filled with story details and action-packed ghost sequences. In the film, a new generation of Ghostbusters descended from Egon Spengler will have to take on a great evil whose armies have the power to kill by fear. This ancient ghost threatens to cause a second ice age, hence the Frozen Empire. Heading this new team of Ghostbusters is Paul Rudd as Gary Grooberson. Carrie Coon plays his wife, Callie Spengler. Even the kids get in on the action, with Mckenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard playing Phoebe and Trevor. While the classic ghosts are back to cause trouble, the Ghostbusters also have to face a human enemy this time around. William Atherton’s Walter Peck is on a decades-long quest to shut down the Ghostbusters. To defend against their enemies from all sides, the new team will need some help from old friends.
The official synopsis reads, “Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.” The film is directed by Gil Kenan with Kenan and Jason Reitman as co-writers. Reitman’s father Ivan directed the original film and its sequel. Jason and Ivan Reitman along with Jason Blumenfield are producers for the film while Dan Akyroyd, Kenan, JoAnn Perritano, Amie Karp, Erica Mills, and Eric Reich serve as executive producers. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire releases in theaters on March 22. Check out the trailer below.
