In June, Warner Brothers and DC’s The Flash hit theaters.  The movie now has a date for its streaming debut which will happen August 25th on Max. The movie features Ezra Miller who reprises his role as Barry Allen in his first stand-alone picture. The film was promoted and touted by new incoming DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran, but it has a slow theater debut. The film opened with $55.1 million over its first three days domestically. The film also has a tepid debut overseas with all numbers below expectations for a film that had a budget of $200 million.

The film is directed by Andy Muschietti and currently has grossed roughly $268.5 million at the global box office. The film centers around what happens when Barry uses his powers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. When his attempt results in disaster Barry is forced to search for other superheroes including Michael Keaton’s Batman to help set things right.
