In August 2022, The Flash and Fantastic Beasts actor Ezra Miller was charged with felony burglary, accused of breaking into a southern Vermont home and stealing alcohol. This was amid a host of other horrific and troubling issues including disorderly conduct, and accusations of assault and grooming minors. On Thursday, a document filed prior to their change of plea hearing details their plea deal.

The document states Miller will plead guilty to a single charge of unlawful trespass. This will get him a jail sentence of 89 to 90 days, all suspended, plus a year of probation and a $500 fine. In October, Miller pled not guilty to charges of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and petty larceny for allegedly breaking into a nearby home, and these will be dismissed under the new agreement. While this sentence does seem soft, and it probably is when its max is 25 years in prison, this specific case is probably the least of their worries. The believability of their apology covering all their behaviors has been very divisive, but here for this case specifically it could probably work. Their apology had come during their announcement they were seeking mental health treatment. Hopefully, it’s been good for them. They did agree to continue mental health treatment under this plea deal, and not to consume alcohol if it interfered with their employment.

With The Flash movie finally coming in June, Warner Bros. Discovery has been doing its best to salvage the film and ward off the poisons of bad press that could have derailed the film’s release. This included comparing it to The Dark Knight following test screenings and even rumored to be the lone survivor to make it to the new DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran.
