The First Trailer For 'Venom: The Last Dance' Has Been Released

Sony Pictures released the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance: Tom Hardy's third and final film as Eddie Brock, the human host for the space symbiote Venom. The audience last Saw Tom Hardy assume the role of the half-reporter, half-space alien in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

Hardy’s enigmatic performance in Spider-Man: No Way Home left fans questioning Venom’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Venom: The Last Dance seems to hint at a possible reimagining of Venom’s role within the MCU.

During an interview with Forbes magazine about the actor’s upcoming film, The Bikeriders, Hardy shared his excitement for the upcoming film. He said, “...we’ve been given so much creative support to do - to push it. It’s a much wider piece and there’s much more love - not that there was not love in the last ones. We’ve been allowed to put more of our ideas into it and I’m really excited about how they land.”

The last two Venom films earned very well at the box office. In 2018, the first film raked in more than $213 million at the domestic box office and $856 million worldwide. And in 2021, Venom: Let There Be Carnage brought in practically the same amount domestically, earning a little less in the worldwide box office, $506 million.

Venom: The Last Dance opens in theatres on October 25.
