The First Trailer For 'Captain America: Brave New World' Has Been Released

The next installment in the Captain America franchise has had its issues. It’s suffered rewrites, reshoots, and even a title change. One thing has remained constant, however, and that is that Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World. It’s been a while since we’ve seen this character, but the time has finally come since the first trailer has finally been released, and it’s very action-packed.
The trailer starts with Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) talking to Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford). The two are discussing his upcoming election, and Sam joins him at a meeting. Since this is a Marvel film, things never go as planned, and a fight breaks out, with someone shooting at Ross. Ross’s inner circle has been comprised, and Sam is going to get to the bottom of it. We then see him suit up, in a new suit, different from what we saw at the end of The Falcon And Winter Soldier. Sam doesn’t have the super soldier serum like Steve Rogers did, but that doesn’t make him any less tough. We see him hold his own during the trailer, against an onslaught of enemies. The ending gives us a tease of Harrison Ford as Red Hulk.

The trailer is exciting, and the movie seems like it is going to be quite serious, a step back from the funnier movies Marvel has had lately. We also see Giancarlo Esposito make his Marvel debut. We will finally get to see Anthony Mackie star as Captain America, and it cannot come soon enough.
Captain America: Brave New World releases in theaters on February 14th, 2025.
