The First Episode Of 'Sonic Prime' Season 3 Has Been Released

Just as they did for Season 2, Netflix has given eager fans the first episode of Season 3 of Sonic Prime early. Ahead of its January 11th premiere date, Netflix uploaded the first episode, titled “Grim Tidings,” onto its Netflix After School YouTube channel. The episode begins with a recap of pretty much all of the events from the previous two seasons before picking up right where season two ended with Sonic and Shadow seemingly trapped on the Ghost Hill Shatterspace as Nine uses the Paradox Prism to shape the empty Shatterspace known as “The Grim.”
By doing this, however, it causes instability on Ghost Hill. Sonic laments over Nine’s betrayal, but there’s not much time to sit around and mope, as the Shatterspace is literally crumbling around them. Sonic and Shadow think and move fast to get out of the dying world, using a crack in the sky to escape to the void. Soon, the pair realize they must go to the Grim and confront Nine in order to restore the universe to how it once was. It is an exciting, action-packed episode that clearly sets the tone for the rest of the series, which will speed onto Netflix on January 11th.
