The English Cast For 'Uzumaki' Has Been Revealed
Nearly five years after its initial announcement, Production I.G. and Adult Swim unveiled the English cast of the highly anticipated anime ‘Uzumaki’ this past weekend at Anime Expo.
Based on the critically acclaimed horror manga by Junji Ito, ‘Uzumaki’ is a psychological horror miniseries centered around best friends Kirie Goshima and Shuichi Saito as their hometown is cursed by the supernatural, resulting in paranormal, bizarre, and outright terrifying encounters all connected to spirals.
The four-episode anime adaptation of this manga was first announced in 2019 as a co-production between Adult Swim and Production IG. It was originally slated to release in 2020, but has been cursed with repeated delays and is now expected to be released later this year according to Junji Ito.

Uzumaki is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama (Detroit Metal City), with Colin Stetson (Hereditary) composing the score. The series will premiere later this year on Toonami.
