The CW Has Renewed 'Walker' Starring Jared Padalecki For A Fourth Season
Warner Brothers has undergone some massive changes recently. Shows were being canceled, and HBO's streaming service will be rebranded into Max and include some Discovery shows on the new service. This has affected the CW as well. Many shows have been in limbo regarding next season, as Warner Bros is limiting the number of shows that will be renewed for the CW. The company will be making announcements this week, about the shows, and it appears they started with Walker. The Walker, Texas Ranger reboot starring Jared Padalecki has been renewed for a 13-episode fourth season.
The current third season of Walker is one of the CW’s most-watched shows this season when it comes to linear viewers, so it’s not a massive surprise that it was renewed. What is surprising, however, is that the CW expects to only have three or four scripted original shows next season. Walker has now taken one of these spots, and so has All American.

Brad Schwartz, the President of Entertainment at the company has said how “Walker has become a top-performing series on the CW with a passionate fanbase and a fantastic cast and creative team led by Jared Padalecki, who has now been a leading man on the network for over 20 years”. Jared Padalecki previously starred in Gilmore Girls as Dean Forester, and Supernatural as Sam Winchester.
Other shows waiting to be renewed include Superman and Lois, The Winchesters, Kung Fu, All American: Homecoming, and Gotham Knights. Unfortunately, the Walker spinoff, Walker: Independence was canceled by the network after one season.
