The 'Blade' Remake Has Cast Actress Mia Goth
Marvel Studios is producing a new Blade movie, and we are already looking at a new casting decision. The world was introduced to the half human, half vampire who hunts vampires in 1973’s The Tomb of Dracula Issue #10. Wesley Snipes would later star as Blade in a trilogy of movies released in the 2000’s. The new Blade is being directed by Yann Demange, written by Michael Starrburry, and stars Mahershala Ali as the titular character. First announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, the new movie is expected to film in Atlanta, and has an expected release date of September 6, 2024.
Mia Goth has been announced to be a part of the cast. A rising star in the industry, she is best known for her work in the Ti West-directed horror movies X and Pearl and previously had a role in Brandon Cronenberg’s Infinity Pool. She will work on filming MaXXXine, which will round out West’s X trilogy, before moving on to Blade. It is unknown what role she will be playing at this time, but more info should be coming out in the following months. Blade is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which should boost her career.
