Temuera Morrison Is Ready To Bring Captain Rex To Live Action
The London Film and Comic Con brought interesting panels and special guests to the stages of the convention center. One of their guests, Temuera Morrison, is well-known for his massive roles in Star Wars. During an appearance on the Whatnot London podcast during the convention, the actor discussed the future, particularly noting his desire to bring a fan-favorite character into live-action.
Rumors have been swirling for a while regarding Morrison playing Captain Rex, and the actor was asked about them during the podcast. While he didn’t confirm or deny anything, Morrison said (via Super Hero Hype), “I’d actually love to bring Captain Rex alive. I would love to, I would love to do that.” The actor is still extremely on board for this to happen.

Morrison has been involved in the Star Wars universe for over two decades. His first appearance involved bringing bounty hunter Jango Fett to life, giving a face to the clones, and an origin to Boba Fett. Following this, the actor has appeared in many different projects and several forms; from the voice for video game characters such as Delta 38 in Republic Commando (2005) to an older, wiser Boba Fett in The Book of Boba Fett (2021).
If Morrison brings Captain Rex to life, it would likely be in the upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka. The appearance of the character would make sense, especially considering the long, deep history shared between Ahsoka and Rex. Nothing has been confirmed regarding his appearance as of now. The series will hit Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere. There will be eight episodes in total, released every Wednesday.
