With Comic-Con having expanded its reach to embracing movies and TV shows, the roots of the convention have been left in the dust and forgotten by most. This is especially shocking considering that the convention’s roots make up the first word in there - comic. One of the most successful movie franchises of all time is showing one of the lesser-known mediums that it occupies. Here are some of the highlights that have recently been revealed:

Wayseeker, written by Justina Ireland will show the life of Vernestra Rwoh before the character’s appearance in the recent Disney+ show The Acolyte.

Tessa Gratton will write a piece designed to show what Yord Fandar and his apprentice Jecki Lon were up to before the events of The Acolyte.

Cavan Scott will be writing more High Republic material,  which will be printed in February 2025.

Cavan Scott will write a one-shot of the Wookiee Jedi Kelnacca from The Acolyte.

Kristin Baver will write a book where a pair of Jedi are set to fight an unnamed threat.

Other works revealed will be more art from The Acolyte, art books showing worldbuilding that will be relevant to the upcoming game Star Wars: Outlaws, and an action figure of Vernestra Rwoh.
