Star Wars Celebration Europe 23 Unveils Latest Set Of Guests To Appear Live Including Ewan McGregor, Ian McDiarmid And Andy Serkis

Star Wars Celebration is a massive gathering for Star Wars fans, similar to Comic Con but solely for Star Wars content! This year it is being held in Europe, specifically at ExCeL London in England. The guest list is always something you don’t want to miss, and this remains true. Three new guests were recently announced, and they’re some pretty incredible names.

Ewan McGregor is first on the list. His role in the Star Wars universe bridges the timeline gap between the prequels and Original Trilogy as Obi-Wan Kenobi. McGregor recently reprised the role in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ limited series.

Hayden Christensen, the actor behind Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, will be making an appearance as well. Christensen recently reprised the role of a fallen Anakin, Darth Vader, in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Also confirmed would be Ian McDiarmid, who has played Emperor Palpatine since Return of the Jedi in 1983. From there he has reprised the live-action role consistently when needed. He has even voiced some animated iterations of the character!

Andy Serkis will be in attendance as well. Serkis has had quite the history in the Star Wars universe, first as Snoke in the Sequel Trilogy and most recently as Kino Loy on Narkina 5 in Andor. Kino Loy’s fate was pretty ambiguous in the end; with Serkis attending, some more details could possibly come to light.

A classic actor in the franchise, Billy Dee Williams will be there. Williams was the original actor for Lando Calrissian. He first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back, and his most recent franchise appearance was in The Rise of Skywalker.

Rosario Dawson is slated to be there. She brought former Padawan Ahsoka to live-action, first in The Mandalorian and then in The Book of Boba Fett. Dawson will be playing Ahsoka in the namesake series coming soon to Disney+.

The original voice of Ahsoka, Ashley Eckstein, will be there as well. She will be joined by the voice of Anakin in the Clone Wars series, Matt Lanter.

This is only a small portion of the extensive guest list. You can find even more details about who is coming here. This year’s convention is rapidly approaching, the festivities are from April 7th to the 10th, 2023. Tickets are still available too, so get one while you can!
