'Star Trek: Section 31' Official Trailer Drops Featuring Michelle Yeoh
Paramount has taken its time, but the full trailer for Star Trek: Section 31 has dropped, with the release just over a month away. Fans caught their first glimpse of a teaser released at San Diego Comic Con back in July, and it caused a stir. The footage looked very different from previous Star Trek offerings, and the main trailer is no different. Don’t expect shiny sets and uniforms. Kasey Rohl, who plays a young Rachel Garrett, wasn’t even given a Starfleet com badge.
Several interesting aliens feature in the one-minute fifty-two trailer, including a Deltan and a native of Cheron. Interestingly, the Cheron could be Bele, who appears in the original Star Trek series (season 3, episode 15). The species has an extremely long lifespan, and only a few exist.

The trailer is action-packed, with plenty of fight sequences that Michelle Yeoh pulls off with her usual flair. But there are few details about the plot. Fans can speculate from Garrett and Philippa Georgiou’s presence that it takes place what has come to be known as the lost Star Trek years. But there are going to be some big surprises when this finally releases, so start pouring the black coffee. Star Trek: Section 31 will stream exclusively on Paramount Plus from January 24th, 2024.
