'Sopranos' Actor Jon Cenatiempo Has Been Cast In The HBO Max Series 'The Penguin' According To A New Set Photo

Another veteran Hollywood actor has decided to join a comic book franchise. Sopranos actor, Jon Cenatiempto is joining the cast of the upcoming HBO Max series The Penguin in an undisclosed roleCenatiempto has an extensive history as a character on shows such as The Deuce and Irishmen. Given this history, the veteran character actor could be playing a character on either side of the law that would explore the deeper motivations of the person portrayed on screen. Leaked set photos show the Sopranos alum with Penguin actor Colin Farrell on the set of The Penguin, which could indicate that Cenatiempo could be a villain.

The Penguin is an upcoming show from HBO Max and is set in the same universe and takes place as the events of The Batman. It will showcase Oswald Cobblepot’s rise to power in the criminal underworld following the film's events. Farrell is continuing the tradition of the rogue having a unique appearance. Rather than the monocle, Farrell employs a hardened look. Inhabiting the world of Gotham with Farrell's Penguin is Cristin Millioti as Sofia Falcone, the daughter of rival criminal lord Carmine Falcone. The series is currently in production and is speculated to arrive in 2024.
