In a crazy year so far in 2023, I’m not sure if anyone had PlayStation Showcase on their bingo cards but after a lengthy hiatus from any big announcements since at least 2021, Sony PlayStation has announced on May 24th they will feature an hour-long showcase revealing some potential releases for the upcoming year for the PS5 and PSVR2 platforms. It wasn’t a big reveal coming on the heels of a blog post but expect the show to be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch. And while everyone is pretty mum on what to expect, the post tells us that “top studios around the world” are going to be giving PS users a glimpse of “several new creations.”

Considering that the last time we had a showcase from PS we got announcements for God Of War: Ragnarok, Wolverine, and the yet-to-be-released Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic remake, there are some big shoes to fill but during this last event we were told about Spider-Man 2 and with the release date mere months away, it is probably safe to say that we will see some more footage of the fairly still secretive game. And Naughty Dog which is a big contributor to the PlayStation brand is also expected to show off their The Last Of Us multiplayer game which is going to ride the wave of the successful Part 2 and the recent HBO TV series.

Make sure you are watching as the event will start at 1pm PST, 4pm EST, and 9pm GMT.
