Though today is April Fool's day, SEGA celebrated it a day early with the release of The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. The video game giant initially teased the title with this ominous tweet.

It was soon followed up with a trailer showcasing the game. This visual novel click-and-point adventure game has the player take the role of a custom character detective who is tasked with finding out what happened to our beloved blue blur, and who is responsible. It also features an auto-run minigame during interrogations called “Think” minigames in which the player controls Sonic using an isometric perspective as they collect rings and dodge hazards.
