'Sonic Origins Plus' Radiates Nostalgia, Developer Headcannon Reveals They Had a Hand In Update
Sonic Origins Plus is on its way, and it promises a huge amount of new content, including a playable Amy Rose and Knuckles being playable in Sonic the Hedgehog CD. However, that’s not the only thing fans should be excited about. It turns out that the team behind 2017’s Sonic Mania, Headcannon, is helping out with the update in the same way that they were involved in Sonic Origins’ initial development.
The studio revealed its involvement in a series of tweets explaining how they brought Amy to the spotlight, made Knuckles playable in Sonic the Hedgehog CD, and added several more enhancements to ensure the collection is the best it can be:

Headcannon previously worked on the remasters of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 before working on Sonic Mania in 2017 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3&Knuckles for Sonic Origins in 2022. The fact that they are once again involved is something that fans should be looking forward to. Sonic Origins Plus speeds onto all major platforms on June 23rd of this year, and unlike its predecessor, it will be released physically as well as be available for owners of the digital version as an expansion pack.
