Prime Video Order ‘Vought Rising’, Another 'The Boys' Spin-off Series

Before its reveal during San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Deadline had the opportunity to announce Amazon's Prime Video is heading back in the timeline of The Boys with a spinoff series. Vought Rising will be produced by Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, with both also set to reprise their roles from The Boys. This prequel series will see Soldier Boy and Stormfront as they were in the 1950s.

Executive producer of The Boys, Paul Grellong, also serves as executive producer for Vought Rising alongside Eric Kripke. Both will also be showrunners for the series. To Deadline, the pair revealed, “We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys. It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name of Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

On stage at Comic-Con Ackles announced the series at the end of the panel, with a recorded message from Cash following his words. Much like Vought Rising, the fifth and final season of The Boys is also in early development. The fourth season, which has recently concluded, featured heavily in the panel which looked back on the series.
