Prime Video Has Ordered A 'God Of War' Series
It seems as if it’s becoming more common for video game franchises to get TV adaptions. Soon after Halo received a TV series, we now have the official announcement that God of War is getting its own TV series. Although the possibility of this was mentioned earlier this year by PlayStation president CEO Jim Ryan, today came the official announcement from Amazon Prime that a TV series based on the popular franchise.
The game will be based primarily on the 2018 game, simply called God of War, which focuses on Kratos in a Norse environment as opposed to the Greek one that he is known for being a part of. Its sequel, God of War: Ragnarok was released earlier this year and was nominated for several game of the year awards. The series will follow Kratos and his estranged son to spread his wife’s ashes from the highest peak and will feature Kratos fighting off new monsters and gods.
