The upcoming Fantastic Four film has been the talk of most MCU fans for months. After the film was officially confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige was announced as the producer, and WandaVision director Matt Shakman was said to be in talks to direct, fans immediately started speculating who would be cast in the four leading roles.

Rumors have been swirling for months on social media and fans have been creating their own perfect cast since John Krasinski brought Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, to the big screen in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

According to former “Birth. Movies. Death.” editor-in-chief Devin Faraci, Marvel Studios may have chosen the person they want to star as Earth-616’s version of Reed Richards. It was revealed on the Marvelvision Podcast on August 28th that Penn Badgely had already met with the studio about the role.

Badgley is most notably known for his role as Dan Humphrey on the CW’s Gossip Girl and more recently as Joe Goldberg in Netflix’s You. It is not known when exactly casting for Fantastic Four will be announced, but with the D23 Fan Expo happening in just a few weeks, many fans are wondering if we might get the announcement during the MCU panel on September 10.

Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters on November 8, 2024, as the kickoff of Phase 6.

What do you think of this casting choice? Are you excited to see the new Fantastic Four?
