“Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger! Can I take your order?”

Fans of the wacky 1997 kids’ comedy, Good Burger, from Nickelodeon can look forward to another installment in just a few days. Paramount Plus has announced the release of Good Burger 2, which will be streamed exclusively on its streaming service. It will feature former Nickelodeon mainstays, Kenan Thompson, also of Saturday Night Live, as Dexter Reed and Kel Mitchell as his wacky but genius sidekick, Ed. Both are reprising their roles from the original film, along with Josh Sever and actress-model Carmen Electra.

While IMDb.com does not provide much information other than to describe it as a sequel to the 1997 movie, Paramount Plus recently released a trailer suggesting that Good Burger will be bought out by Megacorp, run by Kate Boswell (Jillian Bell), only for Dexter and Ed to discover that Megacorp is planning to fire the workers and replace them with robots, a plan which Dexter and Ed plan to stop.

Of note, there was already a book sequel to Good Burger, Good Burger 2 Go, published a year after the original film. The sequel involved the main characters, Dexter and Ed attempting to license Ed’s specially invented sauce that made their restaurant popular. The film sequel does not appear to be adapting any of the elements of this story.

Good Burger 2 will begin streaming exclusively on Paramount Plus starting November 22, just in time for Thanksgiving!
