Paramount+ Gutting It's Nickelodeon Shows
Paramount+ is making some changes to its content. One of these changes includes axing a bunch of Nickelodeon shows from the streaming platform. One of the earliest Nickelodeon cartoons, Doug, will no longer be available to stream on Paramount+. Other axed shows include My Life as a Teenage Robot, Game Shakers, AwesomenessTV, Breadwinners, House of Anubis, Let’s Just Play: Go Healthy Challenge, Welcome to the Wayne, Wonder Pets, and Zoofari. Programs based on Dreamworks films like Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and The Penguins of Madagascar were also removed.
Some users have reported other missing content, including ALVIN!!! and the Chipmunks, Blue’s Room, Big Time Rush, Face’s Music Party, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Ni Hao, Kai-Lin, Oobi, Sanjay & Craig, The Upside Down Show, and Tot Cop. Blue’s Room is a series of shorts based on the classic Blue’s Clues program. According to a spokesperson for Paramount, removing these shows was merely a routine purge that happens on a monthly and quarterly basis. While the streaming service has removed many shows, platforms typically add new content monthly and have a general plan for some releases throughout the year. Licensing rights may also affect how long a given platform can stream a program.
