Official Teaser Released For Netflix's 'Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld'

The Fall season is shaping up to be a great one for animation fans, from the cosmic horror of Adult Swim’s Uzumaki to the highly-anticipated return of Prime Video’s The Legend of Vox Machina and the debut of the highly-anticipated anime DanDaDan. Now, Netflix is getting active again with the first trailer for the animated series Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld.

First announced in early 2023, Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld is a supernatural action comedy created by Echo Wu and follows Jentry Chau, a Chinese-American teen living in Texas, who finds herself being hunted by a demon king seeking out her powers and must now fight horrors from the underworld and the horrors of high-school life.

The series stars Ali Wong(Tuca and Bertie) as Jentry, who additionally serves as an executive producer on the series. The cast also includes Bowen Yang(Saturday Night Live), Lori Tan Chin(Turning Red), Lucy Liu(Kung Fu Panda), Jimmy O. Yang (We Bare Bears: The Movie), Sheng Wan, and Woosung Kim. Titmouse Animation (The Legend of Vox Machina) is animating the series, with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers as well.
