Star Wars Reveals Luke Skywalker's Ultimate Landspeeder And Cool Surprise for May the 4th

Star Wars adds to the list of upcoming legos with today’s announcement of the Ultimate Collectors Series Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder that is set to release on Star Wars day (May the fourth). It’s important to note that regular customers can purchase this May 4, while VIP members of LEGO.com are granted early access on May 1. The set is 1,890 pieces, including two minifigures which are Farmboy Luke Skywalker and C-3P0. It’s priced at $299.99

The iconic landspeeder is seen in Episode IV: A New Hope and is Luke’s way of transportation on his home planet Tatooine. The announcement comes from the official Star Wars Twitter account accompanied by a news piece on StarWars.com.

This set adds to the growing list of upcoming sets, most will release within the next two weeks as LEGO.com gears up for a celebration of Star Wars from May 1- 8.

Trench Run Diorama Releases April 26th Priced At $59.99

- This is a set based off of the famous final space battle in A New Hope. Included in the set is Darth Vader’s Advanced TIE fighter along with two basic TIE fighters and Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing. Total piece count is 665.

Trash Compactor Diorama Releases April 26th Priced At $89.99

- Based off of the iconic scene inside the Death Star in A new Hope. Included with it is the legendary group of Leia, Stormtrooper Han, Stormtrooper Luke, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C3P0. Total piece count is 802.

Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama Releases April 26th Priced At $79.99

- Based off of the wonderful training scenes in the Empire Strikes Back on the swampy planet of Dagobah. It comes with three minifigures which are Yoda, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2. Total piece count is 1000. 

Republic Fighter Tank With An Unrevealed Release Date Priced At $39.99

- A Clone Wars inspired set that includes Mace Windu and the 187th Battalion. With this set comes Clone Wars armored Mace Windu, three 187 troopers and two sepratist droids. While there is no confirmed release date yet, we can hope that the set drops in the end of spring/beginning of summer window. Total piece count is 262.

Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter Releases June 1st Priced At $59.99

- Scheduled for a June 1st release, the Mandalorians sleek new N-1 Starfighter is from The Book of Boba Fett. Most fans will remember the ship from the prequels, most specifically The Phantom Menace. Included in the set are four minifigures. The figures are the Mandalorian, Grogu, a BD droid and Peli Motto. Total piece count is 412.

With May the fourth right around the corner most of these exciting releases will be out in time for any fan to celebrate Star Wars day by building one of them. Along with these comes some prizes that are “free” after a certain amount of money is spent.

The first of the prizes is the Lars Family Homestead Kitchen which seems to come with Beru Lars and the famous kitchen where fans got introduced to blue milk. While details are limited on the throw-in set at this time, it does say on LEGO.com that to get this “gift” you must spend more than $160. The next throw-in set is an AT-ST that is included with purchases over $40. Up next is a VIP exclusive gift which includes a Mandalorian keychain with purchases over $70. Lastly, there is a sweepstake for VIP members to enter for a chance to win two sets and a book signed by Anthony Daniels, aka C3P0. If the picture on LEGO.com is anything to go off of, we can assume the sets in the sweepstakes is a smaller set of Luke’s Landspeeder and a Millenium Falcon.
