Nintendo And Pokémon Have Finally Decided To Sue Palworld Developers
After months of speculation and numerous fans pointing out the similarities between the hot new game and the monster franchise that preceded it, legal action is finally taking place. Nintendo and Pokemon are finally trying to sue Palworld for "an injunction against infringement and compensation for damages because Palworld, a game developed and released by the Defendant, infringes multiple patent rights."
Nintendo released a statement saying, "Nintendo will continue to take necessary actions against any infringement of its intellectual property rights including the Nintendo brand itself, to protect the intellectual properties it has worked hard to establish over the years."
Palworld, which was released in January of this year, is a survival game referred to by many as “Pokemon with guns,” features the ability to capture monsters in tiny balls, just like the global phenomenon Pokemon, which has been one of the most popular franchises in the world since its release in 1996.
