New 'X-Men' Content Was Revealed At NYCC
New and significant X-Men comic content was unveiled recently at a New York Comic-Con (NYCC) panel, specifically the series that will conclude the so-called “Krakoa Era” of Marvel’s X-Men comic book series. Two different intertwined series, Fall of the House of X and Rise of the House of X, and a tie-in series, Resurrection of Magneto will conclude the Krakoa Era of the X-Men. Marvel even released a trailer for this series/
For those less familiar with the series, Krakoa is a unified nation-state founded and populated by the X-Men and other mutants, previously established with the help of a reimagined Moira McTaggett. The Krakoa era of the X-Men comic series, which debuted in 2019 with House of X and Powers of X, drastically shook up the status quo of Marvel’s X-Men comic book series.

Last year’s tragic death of Magneto in A.X.E.: Judgement Day will follow up with Resurrection of Magneto, which will see Storm embarking on a journey to, as the title portends, somehow revive Magneto, although the writers have promised that it will not be an easy resurrection. There is little doubt that the events of the upcoming series will upend the status quo yet again for the X-Men and other mutants and create a new status quo for future X-Men comic book series to explore.
Fall of the House of X and Rise of the House of X are crafted by some of the major architects of the Krakoa era, including Gerry Duggan, Lucas Werneck, who will be working on Fall of the House of X, and Kieron Gillan, R.B. Silva, and Pepe Larraz, who will be working on Rise of the House of X. Al Ewing and Luciano Vecchio will be working on the four-issue saga of Resurrection of Magneto.
