New Trailer For 'Alien: Rogue Incursion'
The company Survios has just released a story trailer for their upcoming VR game set in the Alien universe, Alien: Rogue Incursion.
Rogue Incursion’s placement in the timeline of the various films and games is currently unclear, but the story trailer reinforces the game’s existing plot summary found on the game’s website, though with a few extra details. Players will take on the role of ex-Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks in a mission to save her former squadmate Benjamin Carver, as he’s sent out an SOS from the icy planet of Purdan and the Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility on its surface. Accompanying Hendricks is the “sentient AI” Davis 01, who looks like a mix between the androids of the Weyland corporation seen in various films and the less-sophisticated androids seen in Alien: Isolation due to his clearly false skin, yet also more refined facial features.
The trailer shows that, upon arrival, Hendricks and Davis’ ship is shot down, an automatic quarantine system seemingly to blame as it tries to ensure no one arrives or leaves the laboratories. Xenomorphs run amok, with much of the facility’s personnel dead, dying, or in the final stages of being hunted, demonstrated as a still-living man is dragged away screaming by a Xenomorph.

However, the game also hints that something beyond a standard Xenomorph infestation is at play. The labs contain shattered containers, and Davis 01 notes evidence of sabotage, while other audio logs heavily imply the facility was engaged in some questionable operations to make money. Our best bet is they were experimenting with Xenomorphs when, as so often happens, the creatures escaped any attempt to contain them, leading to disaster.
Rogue Incursion comes to PS VR2 and PCVR on December 19, 2024, while a release on the Meta Quest 3 aims for release in early 2025.
