As the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania approaches, audiences are hungry to learn more about Jonathan Majors’ portrayal of the time-traveling conqueror Kang, and today a new image surfaced for fans to enjoy. Kang is a daunting enemy against the Avengers in the comics, so for fans to see the first-ever live-action portrayal of the character in the film conjures a lot of hype.

Total Film recently dropped an interview and new image from the threequel to the Ant-Man franchise of Majors imposingly seated on Kang’s infamous time chair. The outfit Majors is wearing is a departure from the standard comic book ensemble. The actor discussed how “it’ll be on [him] to build the next thing.” He said, “I’ve got a long way to go, but I will only be ripped and 6ft for so long. There will be individuals coming behind me, and I have to challenge them now, you know?”

He continued further, discussing the expectations for the fifth Avengers film: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

“Hopefully, what we do with The Kang Dynasty; what we do in the MCU; what we do in these Adonis movies…Hopefully, they go, ‘That is now the pole state. That is what we’re aiming for now.’ In the same way, I looked at Denzel [Washington] and Sidney Poitier and Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Mery Streep and Daniel Day-Lewis, and went, I’m going there.”

Of note, Bill Murray is slated to play the role of Lord Krylar as well.
