A Producer For ‘Avatar’ Confirmed That There Will Be A Massive Time Jump Between The Third And Fourth Film
As Avatar: The Way of Water soars to new box office records, further details emerge about the series’ future. In an interview with Empire magazine, Avatar producer Jon Landau revealed that Oona Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, was cast in Avatar 3. Chaplin will play the role of Varang, the leader of the Ash People, otherwise known as the Fire Na’vi.
In other news, the world of Pandora will see a significant time jump between the third and fourth films. Avatar 5 will take the character back to an Earth suffering from overpopulation and limited resources. But the intended message won’t be one of despair but of hope, with the idea of changing course at the center of the film series.
Filming has already begun for Avatar 3 and 4, while the script for Avatar 5 is nearing completion. James Cameron has planned a course for his series and is set to bring big hits to the box office over the next four years. Avatar: The Way of Water is still playing in theaters, and the third film will be released this December. With Cameron’s ambitious release schedule, the world of Pandora will dominate the box office for years to come.
