Kevin Feige has talked a bit about the Fantastic Four reboot in an interview with EW, stating that it will be a major part of the MCU.

The Fantastic Four first appeared in comic book form in 1961. Introducing the world to Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and Thing, this dysfunctional team broke superhero conventions with their celebrity-like status. With their appearance in the MCU set to begin with Phase Six, Feige noted the popularity and status of the team.

Fantastic Four is the foundation for everything that came after in the comics. There’s certainly been versions of it [on screen], but never inhabiting the storytelling of the MCU. And that’s something that is really exciting for us.” Indicating that more would be shared about the film soon, he continued with, “We plan on that being a big pillar of the MCU going forward, just the way they’ve been in the comics for 50 or 60 years.”

While not much is known about the film, Matt Shakman will be directing, with Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer writing. Set to be released on 14 February 2025, the Fantastic Four reboot is one of the known films of Phase 6, the phase that will end The Multiverse Saga. A saga that has been building across phases 4, 5, and 6 concluding when Avengers: Secret Wars arrives on 1 May 2026.
