New Details About 'Scream 7' Have Been Released Including A Release Date
Scream fans finally have something to get excited about! Most of the news about the seventh film has been negative, with the firing of Melissa Barrera, who starred in Scream (2022) and Scream 6, and the loss of, who co-starred in both films. There was some positive news when we learned that Neve Campbell would be returning as Sidney Prescott, but nothing has been set in stone – until now.
It has officially been confirmed that not only will Neve Campbell return to the film, but the seventh film will be directed by Kevin Williamson, who not only created the franchise of films but also wrote Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4. If that news isn’t exciting enough, we also have an official release date! Ghostface and Sidney Prescott will return to the big screen on February 27, 2026. We still don’t know who will be joining Sidney on the big screen, but many fans are expecting to see Courtney Cox return as legacy character Gale Weathers, and possibly Patrick Dempsey, who played Detective Mark Kincaid in Scream 3 and has been confirmed as Sidney Prescott’s husband.
If you are having trouble waiting more than a year for the seventh film, you can stream Scream 1-4 on Max and Scream 5 and 6 on Paramount+.
