Netflix has finally released the first trailer for their upcoming slasher film. Time Cut is the newest addition to Netflix’s horror lineup that they have become known for. In recent years, the streaming service has focused on horror series, but this year it looks like they have switched their focus to films of the same genre. There may not be a new Mike Flanagan series coming this year, but this film is definitely going to satisfy the hearts of horror fans!

The trailer is full of 2000s nostalgia, featuring all of the neon, low rise jeans, Heelys, and Uggs you could ever want to see! The music featured in the trailer is also perfect for a slasher set in 2003. The film is directed by Hannah Macpherson and written by Macpherson and Michael Kennedy, who brought us Freaky and It’s a Wonderful Knife. It is described as “Back to the Future meets Scream” and will follow a teenager whose sister was murdered by a serial killer who also murdered three other students in 2003. The killer was never caught, so when the young girl gets the chance to go back in time and save her sister, she takes it. The film will hit Netflix on October 30th, making it the perfect film to watch on Halloween night!
