As the Netflix original series, The Witcher grew in popularity, so did the desire for more content related to the series. Though it was heartbreaking to hear that lead Henry Cavill would not reappear for The Witcher’s fourth season, the release of Blood Origin seems to have fans excited and interested.

According to Robert Bachhuber of earlygame.com, Blood Origin is set to be released on December 25, 2022, set 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher. On top of the upcoming release date, the weight of the newest series carries the realization of the loss of the former main star. Luckily, Bachhuber spoke highly of the trailer.
