A Gameplay Trailer For 'Star Wars Jedi: Survivor' Will Premiere At The Game Awards
Star Wars gamers, get excited. The release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is reportedly just a few months away, and fans will finally be able to see gameplay footage this Thursday, December 8 at The Game Awards with a gameplay trailer. New key art was also released.
The next video game adventure in a galaxy far far away, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and picks up the story 5 years later. The hero, Cal Kestis, is still being pursued by the Empire, managing to outmaneuver them. However, he begins to feel the weight of being one of the galaxy’s last remaining Jedi, so he must make new allies and strengthen his Force connections. As of writing, details have very much been kept under wraps. So much so that Wikipedia has very small paragraphs for development, marketing, and release, and Wookieepedia only lists unidentified characters with Cal and BD-1. The only previous marketing material was a teaser released in May when it was announced at Celebration. The game’s title was only announced a couple of weeks earlier.
Digital bonuses for pre-orders of the standard edition are hermit-era Obi-Wan-inspired, with hermit robes and a lightsaber, while the deluxe edition comes with Han Solo and Luke Skywalker outfits, with their respective DL-44 and lightsaber. BD-1 has Endor soldier and R2D2 options for dressing.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was developed by Respawn Entertainment, with Electronic Arts as publisher. They and Lucasfilm Games will present the trailer at the show. The game is set to be released on March 15, 2023, on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, at least according to Steam.
