The Terminator is one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time. Featuring one of the coolest villains in cinematic history, this robot slasher movie has had a lasting influence in film, and made Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton into household names. Now we’re seeing a continuation of the story of these killer robots, and the computer program that controls them, Skynet.

Which is odd, because the last film came out in 1991. It’s like the Alien and The Godfather films. There are only two of them. R-Right? Yes, there are only two of them.

Anyway, the streaming service Netflix has announced that everyone’s favorite killer robot will be getting an amine series at some point in the future. According to Anime News Network, a series of shorts had been ordered as far back as 2008, but that fell through.

So far not much has been revealed about the series, other than the fact that it’s “coming soon”, which is obviously far too vague to give us a solid release date for the series. Whenever it does make an appearance, it will be interesting to see if it will be a hit, or if people have had enough of Skynet and its killer machines.
