Elizabeth Olsen Wants To See Scarlet Witch Work With The X-Men Now That Hugh Jackman Is Back
On Tuesday, after Ryan Reynold’s internet-breaking announcement of Hugh Jackman donning the adamantium claws as Wolverine for Deadpool 3 at least one more time, everyone is wondering how Jackman will co-exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Elizabeth Olsen, who portrays Wanda Maximoff or Scarlet Witch, opened up to Variety magazine about wanting to work with Jackman’s Wolverine:
“I guess Wolverine is X-Men. It would be cool to work with those people from the X-Men franchise.”
Within the original comic book storylines, both Scarlet Witch and her brother Quicksilver are the children of Magento, portrayed by Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan in both franchises of X-Men films from 20th Century Fox. In the MCU, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver find their powers from Loki’s scepter as they are experimented on by Baron von Strucker. It is worth noting that Hugh Jackman also played Wolverine in both franchises.

Scarlet Witch’s future in the MCU isn’t set in stone quite yet. **SPOILER ALERT** The audience last saw Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness where she sacrificed herself to destroy the Darkhold. Kevin Feige responded to Variety’s question about Olsen’s future:
“There really is so much more to explore. We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics.”
Perhaps Feige will grant Olsen’s wish after all.
