No matter which superhero or supervillain is given the limelight, Marvel Studios knows how to keep their fans on their toes. When they released WandaVision on Disney+, much of the audience was impressed with the concept and story, finding Marvel Studio's first televised series to be a good start for a platform they would surely take advantage of. With the need to make the MCU even bigger, Marvel Studios is always looking to keep fans on edge with more surprises.

With a highly anticipated Phase 5 spin-off featuring the Salem-era witch Agatha Harkness looking to capture the same lightning-in-a-bottle effect as WandaVision coming soon, Marvel fans are eager to see what the MCU envisions with its characters. While Marvel is good at surprising its audience, a recent "twist" in the show's development might be more confusing.

Originally titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the upcoming show was recently renamed to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, continuing a pattern of having alliterative appeal. This is especially noticeable considering that the show was also known as Agatha: House of Harkness back in the show’s earlier development. This also continues a recent pattern where Marvel Studios has been changing the titles of other recent projects, such as Captain America 4: Brave New World altering from New World Order.

The reason for the name change isn't truly known, though there's always a rather humorous possibility that the title changes are intentional. Who knows? Perhaps we'll soon see it changed to Agatha: Wicked Woes, or Agatha: Magical Madness, or even something like Agatha: Earthly Evils! Regardless of whatever title they choose for the upcoming spin-off series, it's clear that Marvel Studios wants to showcase a variety of parodies with this show, potentially borrowing the concept of jumping between different 'eras' of television history from WandaVision, albeit with a more spooky "Halloween-y" vibe.

The only way to know, however, is to watch and wait for Agatha: Darkhold Diaries to release in the Fall of 2024. Just don't blink, or the title may change again.
